I toured the Darul Aman Palace south of Kabul on Sunday, October 13, 2013. It is easy to drive to. One can pull into the drive that places you in front of the building. The palace on the hill behind is called the Tajbeg Palace or Tapa-e-Taj built to house the royal family during the era of Amanullah Khan also in 1920's. It stands about 0.8 miles behind the Darul Aman Palace.
